Community Project

Image
For this project, we took a picture looking from Lincoln High School on 14th avenue across the I405 highway. We thought that it represented our community as it was a view that we see every day. It also shows the city of Portland. To make this collage, we took dozens of photos of various parts of the view. Then, we printed the pictures out and stuck them together using tape. This allowed us to recreate the original view, but with a new and unique twist. Below, is our final result.

Semester 1 Final Reflection

Image
Reflection: Some new photographers I have discovered which I really admire are Steve McCurry, Ansel Adams, and Henri Cartier-Bresson. I really like how Steve photographs people and the Black and White style Ansel Adams and Henri use in their photographs. This semester, I have learned much more about the capabilities of my camera and when I take pictures I now see many more opportunities for photographs. I am definetly more into photography because of what I have learned and this semester has made me wanted to pursue photography even further. In second semester, I am really interested in doing more with photoshop, since I know there is a lot you can do with it.

Kaleidoscopes

Image
I created these kaleidoscopes in lightroom by flipping and mirroring the images and then putting them into a pattern next to each other. The first kaleidoscope was originally a picture of some graffiti on a trash can. The second kaleidoscope was originally a picture of a building downtown.
