Semester 1 Final Reflection

Image
Reflection: Some new photographers I have discovered which I really admire are Steve McCurry, Ansel Adams, and Henri Cartier-Bresson. I really like how Steve photographs people and the Black and White style Ansel Adams and Henri use in their photographs. This semester, I have learned much more about the capabilities of my camera and when I take pictures I now see many more opportunities for photographs. I am definetly more into photography because of what I have learned and this semester has made me wanted to pursue photography even further. In second semester, I am really interested in doing more with photoshop, since I know there is a lot you can do with it.

Kaleidoscopes

Image
I created these kaleidoscopes in lightroom by flipping and mirroring the images and then putting them into a pattern next to each other. The first kaleidoscope was originally a picture of some graffiti on a trash can. The second kaleidoscope was originally a picture of a building downtown.

Final Color Grids and Photos

Image
Project description: In this project we had to take pictures of objects with different colors and group them in warm, cool, mood, and complement groups. We had to chose a photo from each group which we thought best displayed the type of color. We also had to create several grids using the pictures we took. Here are the pictures I chose as well as the grids I created. Grids: My first grid is a 3x3 using a picture of some yellow flowers which I thought contrasted really nicely with the dark gray ground. My second grid (4x4) is a picture of carrots. Complement Cool colors Monochromatic Warm colors Mood
